Overview:

Masai Mara Game Reserve which is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife Viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five. The phenomenal wildbeeste migration which is a spectacular event only seen in Masai mara is the the wonder of the world.

Lake Manyara National Park lies 130 kilometers outside of Arusha town and encompasses Lake Manyara and its surroundings. There are five different vegetation zones including groundwater forest, acacia woodland, open areas of short grass, swamps and the lake’s alkaline flats. The park’s wildlife includes more than 350 species of birds, baboon, warthog, giraffe, hippopotamus, elephant and buffalo. If lucky, catch a glimpse of Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions. Night game drives are permitted in Lake Manyara. Located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley, Lake Manyara National Park offers varied ecosystems, incredible bird life, and breathtaking views.

The Serengeti National Park is home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the great migration of wildebeest and zebra. The resident population of lion, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, and birds is also impressive. There’s a wide variety of accommodation available, from luxury lodges to mobile camps. The park covers 5,700 sq miles, (14,763 sq km), it’s larger than Connecticut, with at most a couple hundred vehicles driving around. It’s classic savannah, dotted with acacias and filled with wildlife. The western corridor is marked by the Grumeti River, and has more forests and dense bush. The north, Lobo area, meets up with Kenya’s Masai Mara Reserve, is the least visited section.

Itinerary Detail

After breakfast in your hotel in Nairobi pick up by your professional guide and depart the Nairobi region for Maasai mara with lunch en route. We drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint where you will have a chance to take photos with a great view of the valley proceed to the Maasai Mara National Reserve lunch at Narok town, this enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino. On arrival proceed for an evening game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver/guide. Dinner and overnight at camp or Lodge.

After breakfast, you will depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full-day game viewing in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. A Masai Mara safari is an unmissable highlight of any holiday in Kenya. There are breathtaking panoramas in every direction, a vast range of wildlife including the Big Five, and a rich cultural heritage to explore. Kenya’s Masai Mara is, without doubt, one of the greatest safari destinations in Africa. Between July and October, things get busy in the Great Migration. Millions of zebras and wildebeest make the perilous crossing across the Masai Mara in search of new grazing territory. And in their wake comes a veritable horde of predators including lion and leopard.  After breakfast in the camp, you will have an opportunity for a cultural tour which is known as Maasai village tour. Later depart   Mara region to Nairobi arriving late evening be dropped at a hotel booked on bed and breakfast dinner on your own at the restaurant.

After breakfast at Nairobi hotel be dropped at the shuttle bus to Arusha through the Namanga border for immigration formalities after the immigration continues to Arusha town arriving in the afternoon our manager will pick you up from the Bus stop and drop you at the Hotel booked on bed and breakfast dinner on your own at the restaurant.

After breakfast drive west on good tarmac road, across the gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees, en route you pass many Maasai bomas and Maasai in their colorfully traditional dress walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding their cattle and driving overloaded donkeys’ carts. After two hours of drive, you will arrive at Manyara gate, before proceed with a game drive, The first habitat will be the underground forest with water seeping from the rift valley escarpment. There is a great sighting of Hippos, Elephants, Buffaloes, Giraffes, Zebras, Blue monkeys, Baboons. Dinner and overnight at camp or Lodge.

After breakfast, we will take picnic lunch with us and drive west across the gentle rolling Ngorongoro highlands en route you pass Zebra and wildebeest grazing with the Maasai cattle’s and young boys tending them, and Maasai villages [Bomas]. After proceeding to Serengeti and stop at the Nabi gate for lunch. In the afternoon we will be doing our game drive in the central Serengeti with a great sighting of Lions, Hippos, Giraffes, Leopards, Reedbucks, and Elephants Dinner and overnight at camp or Lodge

An early morning game drive, it’s always good to start game drive early in the morning, as many animals are active during this time. You will return to the camp for breakfast before heading out for another game drive in the park. Here in the Seronera region, you will often see wildebeests and zebras in close proximity to lions and other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch, you will continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Once you have reached the crater rim you will enjoy fantastic views of this 600 m deep collapsed volcano. You will stay at the  camp or Lodge.

After a very early breakfast leave the Lodge and descend down to the eighth wonder with possibly the largest permanent concentration of wildlife in Africa, with an estimated average of 30,000 large mammals. In addition, this is one of the best reserves in Africa to see Black Rhino. Other sightings include Lions, Hyenas, Jackals, Hippos, Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras, and Wildebeest. After lunch drives back to Arusha to be dropped at arusha hotel.

After breakfast pick up from your hotel and drop at the Shuttle bus to Nairobi arriving in the Afternoon – drop at the Airport to connect your flight back home.
